The presentation of the Horse Pilot Team continues. We have asked Marie, Export Manager at Horse Pilot (here on the right on the photo) ! 🌎 Between business trips and events on the other side of the world, Marie shares with us her international experience.

My name is Marie Lesterps. I am 42 years old and I live in Mauguio, not far from Montpellier, where the commercial department of Horse Pilot is located. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in land use planning and environment.

After my studies, I went to the USA for 5 years to work as a groom. Then, I was contacted by GPA who was looking for an Events & Sponsoring Manager knowing top level riders. So I joined the GPA team and I evolved within the company to become Sales Manager and Back Office Manager. After 10 years at GPA, I met Horse Pilot through my best friend who knows Aurélien (co-founder of Horse Pilot). They were looking for an Export Manager, especially to launch the brand in North America. A market I know well! It was time to discover new horizons… So I joined Horse Pilot in November 2017.

your role at horse pilot

I am Export Manager. I am the sales representative responsible for customers and brand development in the international market, i.e. outside Europe. My work is divided between business trips, events, relations with resellers and ambassadors outside Europe.

your relationship to horseback riding

I started with eventing when I was riding ponies. During my studies, I focused on show jumping. Afterwards, as mentioned above, I worked as a Groom in the USA for 5* show jumping riders for 5 years.

your favorite horse pilot outfit

 

My three favorite products are the Integral jacket, which is very effective against wind and wet weather; the Storm jacket which is a versatile jacket; the new Design Shirt which has arrived in the 2020 collection, an innovative and very comfortable shirt!
