Who are you?
My name is Manon, I’m going on 24 this year and I’m originally from a small village in the south of the Ardèche.
As far as my studies are concerned, I started off with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and management at the IAE in Grenoble; for 2 years I studied economics, marketing, finance and accounting. Then, to specialize in marketing, I completed my degree with a Master’s in Digital Marketing.
A keen traveler, I spent a semester studying abroad in Warsaw to learn more about international marketing.
During my first year of the master’s program, I did an internship in a web analytics agency, where I learned a lot about performance analysis and the usefulness of KPIs (one of the most complex parts of the digital marketing profession, in my opinion!)
My adventure at Horse Pilot began during my final year of my Master’s degree! I joined the company through an apprenticeship scheme as an Acquisition and E-commerce Assistant. This wonderful year ended with the signing of a permanent contract.
Your role at Horse Pilot
At Horse Pilot I am now in charge of e-commerce development. This consists of:
- plan the entire e-commerce strategy of the company,
- organizer of product promotion schedules,
- bring e-commerce solutions to the website to make it more commercial,
- organize commercial operations such as sales,
- and above all to manage budgets and KPIs.
This is a position that is closely linked to all marketing and business professions. I therefore work in collaboration with the web marketing team, brand content, supply chain, commerce and product.
Your relationship with horse riding
Since I was little I have had one foot in the world of horse riding.
It was thanks to my godmother, who is a rider, that I started riding occasionally during the holidays at the age of 3. After 7 long years of negotiation, my parents finally agreed to enroll me in an equestrian center for regular practice!
I immediately developed a passion for this sport which led me to work in the stables and breaking in young horses.
My favorite discipline is show jumping but I also like to practice show jumping.
Your passion for sport
Both my parents being very sporty, they passed on the passion for sport to me very early on. I started with gymnastics and practiced it for 7 years; I finally gave it up for horse riding.
Besides that, I also let myself be tempted by badminton, running, surfing, basketball, skiing and even snowboarding!
What I like most about sport is being able to exercise and clear my mind. I am also very competitive, which pushes me to invest and surpass myself more in everything I do.
Your favorite Horse Pilot outfit
I have several favorite outfits depending on the season, but it’s the pants X-Design which accompanies me all the time.
In the summer and spring I like to wear the Suntech; and if it’s a little colder, I add the Storm.
In winter, I swap the Suntech for the Optimax which provides more warmth and I add the Essential jacket to my outfit because it protects both from the cold and from light rain.
