2017 success in four sets!

At dawn of the 2018 season, let’s back on a year 2017 on the theme of the performance for our ambassadors.

1st set | jumping: Pilots have performed at the highest level!

Among the best international riders, many of them trust Horse Pilot to accompany them in their exploits.

First on his lands in the CSI 5* of Dublin but also in Valencia, without considering the 4* of Liverpool or Geesteren, the iconic Irish four-leaf clover has brought good luck to Shane Breen this year. His teammate Cian O’Connor also has several victories.

At the highest world level, our Frenchies was not outdone!

In the spring, Cedric Angot, after taking the second place of the Lummen 5* Nation Cup, won the La Baule one three weeks later with French team. He did not stop because we found him in seventh place of the La Baule Grand Prix .

For Olivier Robert, we note several rankings in 5 * events including a fourth position on the track of the final of the World Cup in Gothenburg and, off course, his victory in the 3* Grand Prix of Maubeuge.

Gregory Cottard and Harold Boisset were very talented during this season. With his 5* first places in Helsinki, Paris and Lyon but also his participation in the victory of 5* Nations Cup in Gijon, Gregory is nesting among the most promising French riders. In the same vein, the Montpellier rider has stood out more than once on 3,4 and 5* classes this year.
Also successful, the young rider Robin Muhr, only 22 years old, came fifth twice in Lyon for his first participation in a CSI 5 * -W.

Our Swiss, Belgian and Dutch ambassadors were also in a great shape. We have several times found Christina Liebherr in the top 10 of 5* classes, including the sixth place in the Grand Prix of St. Gallen. The red jacket, François Mathy Jr, has a total of five 5* wins during the year. Wout-Jan Van der Schans offered himself the second place of the 5* Grand Prix of S’Hertogenbosch, for example.

2nd SET | CSI 2 * and 3 *: between consistency and progression

Across Europe, our ambassadors gave a hard time to their competitors, just as Guillaume Foutrier or Tony Hanquinquant.

While the first one won the 3* Grand Prix of Mijas and San Giovanni, the second took the second place of those of Saint-Lô and Auvers (2*).

Charles-Henri Fermé also distinguished himself by taking his place on nearly forty podiums. He came back victorious of the CSI 3* of Deauville but also of Mâcon or Royan (2*).

Sofian Misraoui ranked second in the Grand Prix 2* of Arnas but also fourth in the Lausanne Grand Prix.

Romain Dreyfus, Arnaud Fontenelle, Hendrik Sosa, Franck Vancrayelynghe and Julien Feuillerac took also some great 2* and 3* victories.

Not forgetting Alexis Borrin, winner of the Grand Prix 2 * of the first Horse Pilot Jump Festival! See you from the 27th June to the 8th July 2018 for the second one.

Du côté des plus jeunes : Thibault Lacrevaz s’est démarqué dans les épreuves U25 à Lyon mais également avec deux victoires à Wierden en CSIO Young Rider. Avec beaucoup de potentiel lui aussi, Arthur Deplace s’est offert plusieurs podiums en CSIO Poney.

On the side of the youngest: Thibault Lacrevaz stood out in the U25 classes in Lyon but also with two wins in Wierden in the CSIO Young Rider label. With a lot of potential too, Arthur Deplace has offered himslef several podiums in CSIO Pony.

3rd set | Girl power : Our ladies in a good shape!

Félicie Bertrand was on an upward slope last year. Her second place in the Grand Prix 2* of Lamballe or in the Longines Masters of Paris but also her third place in Le Touquet (1.50m) have confirmed all her talent.

In March, Raena Leung stood out with five podium at the Costa del Sol Tour in Mijas.

With great victories, the young generation does not have to blush for its performances.

Nina Mallevaey won, among others, two U25 classes at the CSI of Cagnes-sur-Mer but also finished third in the 2* Grand Prix.

4th Set | proud of our eventing and dressage riders

It’s again French Pilots that we found in top form throughout the eventing season.

Maxime Livio has confirmed all his talent by winning the CICO and CIC 3* of Waregem and Le Pouget, after being ranked second of the famous CCI 4* of Lexington. Thomas Carlile is not outdone with his victory at Barbury Castle and his third place at the CIC 3* of Chatsworth. The latter also lead his very good Birmane to the head of the six-year-old World Championships at the Lion d’Angers. Thais Meheust has for her part add two victories in CIC 2* at her top list (Chateaubriand and Le Pouget).

The dutch Elaine Pen ranked second in the CIC 2* of Oudkarspel andher teammate  Tim Lips was on the podiums of the the 3* competitions of Boekelo or Varaino after finishing third in the famous indoor cross country of Bordeaux.

Regarding dressage, Bernadette Brune took the second places in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special 5* of Geneva and in the Grand Prix Special of Doha.

Congratulations to all of you for this wonderful year in which you made us dream every weekend. Let’s continue together to surpass ourselves in 2018, with performance in line of sight.
